Wild about Watercolor 2021
An open-to-all, combined online and in-the-gallery exhibit featuring the medium of watercolor.
October 08 - November 27
The exhibit is a chance to enjoy variety and diversity using the wonderful medium of watercolor. This year 20 artists who have submitted a total of 34 pieces. We finished hanging our gallery exhibition of submissions on October 8. October 11 we posted a concurrent online exhibit of the show and introduced an online voting system for favored selections in 6 categories. October 15 we held a party, closed the voting, announced our winners, and awarded prizes.
The show is a sharing but it is also a contest and many pieces are for sale. The prizes (gift certificates at Stella's Italian Kitchen and Market, Cedar Circle Farm, Lyme Home and Hardware, and at Matt Brown Fine Art) went to works that garnered the most votes in six categories:
-Most technically accomplished
For the voting judges selected one entry from each artist, so on the ballot was a selection of 20 pieces competing in each of 6 categories. 56 people voted. Thanks so much for participating!
