Jennifer Brown, Matt Brown’s sister, has made art steadily since childhood. She currently lives in Strafford, VT, but spent years growing up in Lyme. She teaches painting (at Lebanon’s AVA Gallery and elsewhere), designs puzzle and book illustrations (Norwich’s Stave Puzzles). She paints with watercolor, oil and gouache. A mother of two adult daughters, Jennifer’s imagery focuses on the world around her: the hills, farms, and houses of the Upper Valley, impressions of travels to the coast of Maine, out West, and abroad, intimate portraits of people in their environments.
