Wild about Watercolor 2023
An open-to-all, combined online and in-the-gallery exhibit featuring the medium of watercolor.

This exhibit explores the variety and diversity of the wonderful medium of watercolor. View this year's submissions online here. Most pieces are for sale and on display in the MBFA gallery in downtown Lyme.
The show is a sharing but it is also a contest. Voters cast ballots online for their favorites in six categories. Prizes (gift certificates at Stella's Italian Kitchen and Market, Cedar Circle Farm, Lyme Home and Hardware, and at Matt Brown Fine Art) went to works that garnered the most votes in the online voting for favorites in these six categories:

-Most original
-Most flamboyant
-Most communicative
-Most atmospheric
-Most technically accomplished
This year 19 artists submitted a total of 31 pieces. Voting ended Nov. 17 with over 100 people casting ballots. Winners and runners-up are shown below.
