Three Brushes, Three Breaths: An exhibit of work by Ginger Armstrong, Matthew Greenway, Stephanie Reininger
Ocean Umi, ink on paper by Ginger Armstrong
Having lived many years in Japan, Ginger pursues a relationship with the four treasures (brush, paper, ink , and stone) with a resilient enthusiasm and joy.
Matthew Greenway works Western style, using his brush to develop overlays of transparent oil color to build atmospheric and spatially complex imagery. Matthew has been painting seriously since graduating from the New York Academy of Art (2005). Recent images primarily depict impressions of the natural world of his home in Lyme, NH.
Stephanie Reininger is an Upper Valley resident going way back, and through many decades has shared her positive and optimistic life spirit through her colors and gestural brushwork (with watercolor on paper in a free-flowing and expressive manner) and through teaching. Stephanie has taught classes of all sorts; for this exhibit she'll share both recent work and some old favorites, some of which are not for sale but will be a delight to see.
