Safe Harbors #2 - Greg Gorman
Greg writes, "I have been painting on canvas since 1986, my easels sharing studio space with my stained glass and mosaic work. Artists influencing my work include John Piper, Clifford West at the AVA Center, bits and pieces of Picasso, Braque, and Diego Rivera."

The series of paintings he is showing in this exhibit he calls “Safe Harbors/ Ports of Refuge”, an emotional response to the plight of peoples who seek refuge from political repression, climate disasters or economic failures. In his mind this includes peoples seeking safety from violence, domestic or otherwise.
