Safe Harbors #2 - Greg Gorman
Greg writes, "I have been painting on canvas since 1986, my easels sharing studio space with my stained glass and mosaic work. Artists influencing my work include John Piper, Clifford West at the AVA Center, bits and pieces of Picasso, Braque, and Diego Rivera."
The series of paintings he is showing in this exhibit he calls āSafe Harbors/ Ports of Refugeā, an emotional response to the plight of peoplesĀ who seek refuge from political repression, climate disastersĀ orĀ economic failures. In his mind this includes peoples seeking safety from violence, domestic or otherwise.Ā
