Wild about Watercolor 2026
An open-to-all, combined online and in-the-gallery exhibit featuring the medium of watercolor.
September 18, 2026 - November 14, 2026
Party for Wild about Watercolor is Friday, Oct. 23, from. 5 - 7 pm. Prior to the party, visitors to the gallery can play our "Art Scavenger Hunt" game to enter the raffle to win one of the gift cards below. We hope you can stop in and play, and come to the party!
The show is a sharing but it is also a contest, and most pieces are for sale and on display in the MBFA gallery in downtown Lyme. Prizes (gift certificates at Stella's Italian Kitchen and Market, Cedar Circle Farm, Lyme Home and Hardware, Lyme Country Store, and to Matt Brown Fine Art) go to works that garner the most votes in a selection of favorites in six categories:
-Overall favorite
-Most original
-Most flamboyant
-Most communicative
-Most atmospheric
-Most technically accomplished

Voting ends at 6pm on Oct 23, and results will be shared at the Party.
Shown above is “Grow With Me", a 2026 watercolor entry by Patricia Giebutowski.
